View Full Version : Hummingbird Nest
We have a hummingbird nest being built in our yard right now. For the last two years there were nests built the same tree. Here is my Blog from last year which I will be continued on for this year.

They have fur-covered walls in that nest... that's a good idea. :)
Usually fur around the nest is a bad thing ;) ;)

Why are we talking about birds on a lamborghini site?
The category description explains that:
"General discussion of just about anything not specifically Lamborghini."

How'd you get those pics by the way? I'm a 'I wish to take good pictures some day'-level photographer and yours are great. We've already got about six really good photogs on here already. I've got a Canon Rebel XT DSLR but my pics always seem to come out poor in color, just not exciting; supposedly I can get them much nicer with some photoshop.

I use a Nikon D70. I use either my 18-200mm, 50mm or 80-400mm depending upon the situation. And it takes learning how the camera works in all the different modes. For example when using the lens at 400mm the depth of field is so small that you have to take that into consideration and use the Aperture setting to control it. Also lighting has a big effect. Just takes practice.
There are now two eggs in the nest. I put a video clip link up on the Blog.

Cool. I've got an 18-70mm IS USM lens on my Canon, takes really nice pics but there's so much to learn about with the camera adjustments, etc. I'll read about something online and try it and wow, that worked well, now I just have to go over the other 1000 settings. :)
