Are there compatibility issues with changing out the factory? Is it not recommended etc?

The stock head can be swapped, and if you want to spend the money, you could put the nav head from an Audi in there instead, it would just show the Audi logo when you turn it on, but you would at least get a perfect fit and finish since it's basically the same one used in the Lambo with the addition of cell phone features which have been disabled in the Lambo version. Or you can go aftermarket but I'd have a customer shop do the mount and surround so you don't end up with something that looks like it belongs in a cheap car.

yeah I dont think I want an aftermarket nav unless it looked 100% like it belonged. I asked about a factory one today and it's $4200 installed. Seems steep.

Ouch, maybe you can find one salvage somewhere, should be enough gallardo owners wrecking their cars. :)

yeah, try the audi one? the one i received has the phone option installed. works great with bluetooth handset. reads your phone book into the system too, although i don't think you want to be fiddling with too many buttons while driving 190mph
