This past Saturday (Oct 1) at Calgary track for Kids Cancer Care Foundation fundraiser - 30 deserving kids each get 3 rides in a 3 different exotics in the morning, then we also give rides to the public (ebay high bids - all proceeds to Kids Cancer care) in the afternoon.

I brought my Countach (she's on the right 1986 5000QV 6 dual Weber Carbs, another track friend brought his 1988 Countach (fuel injected) on the left).

Decided to park them side by side for some pics.

Wow great way to give back and what a rare picture!

It looks cold up there!! We got down into the 60's last night here in Florida; winter is coming! :lol2:

Beautiful cars and great photos. Do prefer the carb or fuel injected one?

Well....notwithstanding I own the carb one ... there is really no sound like a V-12 with 6 Dual Weber carbs wide open - ahahahahahahaha Mmmmmmm!

So yup - luvin' the carbs (and I'm very glad I have maestro mechanics that can tune them - more an art than a science)

Awesome eventand beautiful cars. Wish I had known about it to come out and support.

Is racecity still open?

I was there at the beginning of sept for a track day put on by a local car shop but they indicated that the track was closing end of sept because the city was not renewing their lease and taking the land back to expand the dump.

Sorry Tofu - been away.

Race City closes sometime this month, the group I am with seems to keep getting additional days. We were on track this past Sat, and our last day is this Sat, Oct 22...the bulldozers and cranes are poised at the north end of the track. My guess is when the snow flies, the bulldozers roll and an era is sadly over (with unbelievably - no realistic future option available)
