Hi people,

I'm new to this forum. I was wondering if there's any changes in the Australian spec version.

Any changes in engine power? Specs? Standards? Options? etc?

Cheers,
RAiMA :)

Welcome RAiMA!! :)

If you're talking about the Gallardo Superleggera the non-US version is supposed to be about 30 kg lighter (100 kg reduction versus 70 kg in the US due to safety regulations not allowing the altering of certain things). The regular G I believe is the same with possibly emissions differences only but not likely ones that alter the car much.

Thanks for the welcome :)

I was just wondering for the standard Gallardo's. Heard lift suspension was optional along with other things.

Has anyone got a list of what's standard and what's optional?

Thanks in advance :)

On a Lambo, everything is an option. :) The lifting system became available in 2005.5 but I think all cars since it came out are built with it anyway; it's definitely helpful when you have to descend out of an elevated parking lot onto a lower street; always do it at an angle as parallel to the street as possible, I'll take the entire driveway diagonally out to the street if I can so the front lower pieces don't scrape.

I was hoping the lift suspension came standard from 06 onwards.

Just got the pricing of the list of options today and the lift suspension is definitely not standard lols.

Was also interesting to hear the later version of the vehicle came with a shorter gearbox ratio which brought the 0-62 mph times from 4.3 to 3.9 secs.

no, i'm still yet to see a Lambo with this lift suspension.

i don't know about times, but the car feels so much quicker with the different gearing.

The sales rep at the dealership took me for a ride in when I was there. He was really kind in showing me the car and answering questions I had :p

The Gallardo I went in was one with e-gear and lift suspension. I was quite amazed how smooth it was which makes me wonder if it would be better if I chose it over manual.

As for the lift suspension, it raises the front up 45mm. When he took me around, he demonstrated it with and without it over speed humps. He just took the speed humps slower with it off. Really cool and I'd definitely get it with the Gallardo :) The roads here in Sydney can be really silly and even damaging to normal cars. They've made it that way in some areas to deter hoons from hanging around.

That's not a knife.... :lol2: I bet Australians hate Crocodile Dundee since they probably hear dumb jokes related to it endlessly. :)

It's that old, I think it's mostly forgotten. People are a bit more worried about drop bears these days. There was 3 attacks in the city last week :s

What's a drop bear? In Florida we have alligators that will come get you, especially kids and pets since dumb asses like to feed them.

They're a bigger and meaner version of the koala bear. Here's a recent sighting.
