2001 diablo V1 install question

Hi, new here but not to car forums. Please don't flame me too bad. I'm working on a friends 01 diablo with the Alpine system. I am going to hardwire a V1 for him and I have a simple question.

Where is the best place to get the "accessory" power from? I have a 12 volt background, so my first thought is obviously the Alpine radio. But, there is a reason there are forums and the Internet - so I thought I would ask what it looks like are the experts!

Btw... I :lol2: My ass off when I reached up under the passenger dash area and there was literally nothing there... :) I can't remember the last time I could reach the radio from the passenger seat that easy!!! :biggerGrin:

Update: don't need help with power....got that figured out. Could someone tell me how to get a small gap b/w headliner and windshield and same for "a" pillar? Any help is appreciated....thx ;)
