Been reading Tampa crime stats and there's a rise in stolen gas as well as stolen license plates that people are using to do drive off's at gas stations. This is probably going to start happening more frequently country-wide as the prices continue to rise, so make sure to report your plate missing if it happens to you. :BoomSmilie_anim:

Weird, almost every gas station out here has only two options

- cash paid upfront
- credit at pump

How much is gas down there? It's like $3.90 for premium here. Downtown Chi I think is more like $4.20

Yeah they're rapidly switching to pay in advance but still some aren't. Your prices suck though, we're about 50 cents less here. :)

The one thing that really pisses me off are the gas stations that cut you off at $50 even when paying by credit card. $50 doesn't buy shit anymore, that gets me like half a tank in the g-wagen. Then I have to go inside and give the guy the card to let me fill up some more.

Which stations do that. I keep wondering whether it will happen, but I've never had one stop at $50.00

Do you use credit or debit? I always use credit. Don't know if that matters.

Yep, just use my amex. Shell stations around north Tampa seem to be the most likely to do that, you never know either until it shuts off on you, drives me crazy. I always tell the cashier they won't be selling me any more gas but of course that is unlikely to ever make it back to someone who cares.

I'll take some $3.19, it's been $3.40+ lately. And I get that joy of filling up my race jugs with the $6.50/gallon goodness later this week.

Come out to Orlando, it'll make the return trip home more bearable! :D

I don't see how. Filling up your tank for 30cents a gallon less on the trip back to Tampa? Seems good to me.

Usually I have to fill up in Tampa, and since I only know one road in that whole city (Dale Mabry), I get raped on gas prices.

When your car gets 10 mpg, the miles saved by not going to Orlando more than make up the difference. :)
