Why is it some dealers don't post any prices on their website? It just says inquire. If they knew anything at all about marketing they'd know some people DO NOT wanna be harassed by a salesman and want to check the car out online. So I called one of these dealers in another state because I wanted to see how much it was and the guy on the phone didn't know and the guy who "did know" wasn't even there and that I should stop by the dealership.
My friend is a sales manager at a chevy dealer and he said their dealership is rolling out a new system where surfers can see pictures of every car in real time inventory, negotiate prices, get financing, and even buy the car online. They only have to show up and sign.
I'm not sure if many would do that, but it sure is the complete opposite of posting a car online and even paying for an ad in autotrader or dupont and then saying call for price. :2up:
