The thing is you probably got there in about 15 seconds.......while it would take my car a good minute :D

I think so, but I was smiling too much to notice. :)
Although now they have just installed cameras on that bridge; not sure if they're just for safety or busting people.

prolly both, you can't go anywhere near that fast in Chicago, they got cameras everywhere:banghead:

Dave, have you ever run your car through the gauntlet that is 545? If not you should hit I-4 and try it out.

well fuck... I hope they're just for safety. I drive across that bridge daily now and its very rare for me to do the speed limit there...

I have a feeling it's more for Fri/Sat night ricer races than the stray speeder; or maybe just traffic control because the cams are up on top of phone poles.

215, holy shit. There's a place in Orlando that will take you up to I think 170 or so in either an Indy car or nascar, can't remember which, around a banked oval but they won't go faster than that for insurance reasons. :)
187 in a 360? Did you have a tail wind? :lol2: :lol2:

yes tail wind was caused by my brothers porsche coming up fast on us. I would never buy a 360 for the money the car has no power. The diablo was a ruff ride i needed a massage after that, lol

155 in Porsche 930 Turbo - On Storrow Drive in Boston going to hospital. Can retire the trophy on that one if you know the road. Puts any road course for F1 to shame.
160 in Murci - Wish I knew it had 6 gears, not 5 ;)
150 in Porsche 944 Turbo
There have been cameras on the bridge for many, many years. A coworker of mine has a funny story when his Armored Car ran out of Gas on the Frankland. The cameras picked him up running to the end for gas. Troopers came, laughing their heads off. Then the radio stations picked up the police call about the abandoned armored car. Quite the melee ensued.
215 is gunna be tough to beat. Duc may own the board. Now if that F1 ride had worked out for me, we'd have another story. :(

Yeah I don't think I'll see 215 on a ground vehicle unless I go to the salt flats; would definitely be a rush though. Or maybe I'll pick up one of those Veyron things.

167 (indicated) on my motorcycle, for a couple of seconds until I looked down and said "oh shit" I'm going 167 on two wheels
170ish when I was younger in my brother's Lingenfelter Firebird Formula, going back from McCormick Place. Stupid thing to do, but I was like 18, and there wasn't much traffic so I took it up and set the cruise control, we thought we where so cool.

Well, I could get out on I-81 and give it a shot - at that speed, I'd barely be keeping up with the truckers, and my car may self destruct :p
Which one of you will volunteer to bail me out if I get picked up?? ;)

155mph in a 68 Camaro(It had 2.83 gears and 400whp)
110mph in a 65 Malibu in a 1/4 it was my uncles drag car. I think I ran a low 12, first time ever behind the wheel of a fast car. He runs 11.60s with it.
85 on a 74 Honda Motorcycle
95 on a 2003 Harley Low Rider, it was my fathers bike I dont think hes ever had it to 75. :lol2:
98 in my current truck, damn GM thinks thats all the faster I should go :banghead:
135 or so in a 2002 Camaro while test driving it. Salesman was not with me, they gave it to me for the weekend to try and sell me. Didnt buy it because it was an auto and they wanted more for it than what I wanted to pay.
Nothing to impressive but Im young and have only owned a few viechles.
Supra- 220mph flat on a GPS device(NOT speedo/car which is usually wrong), I was gear limited. Did that early morning on a nice stretch of highway in upstate NY. I did over 180mph countless times on her though, she gets over 150mph so fast, you don't need that much space to go fast, just need a nice road and lots of space to brake :p
Lotus- Over 150mph on the speedo...as much fun as this thing is, it lacks the power for the top end...
