2006 Ford GT.
Whoa.:grinning-smiley-003
Just got home from driving that beast. My friend pulled over and told me to drive. Usually I set up my seat, mirrors, etc., and get right on it. This car was different. The gas is very touchy. I kept revving it over 2k RPM. The engagement point on the clutch threw me off. I'm used to my Lotus and Lambos for the most part. I had to get into traffic fast so I told my friend to hold off and find a non busy street so I could feel more comfortable and play with it a little bit. Also, visibility really sucks in this car. The seat only has two adjustments; you can move the seat forward and the back forward. That's it. The actual seat itself is very long. Kind of hard to reach the pedals for a shorty like me. Anyway, we drove around a bit and found a peaceful place to pull over. I set everything up again and this time I took off right away. I think I was expecting it to be very difficult to drive, but what was actually difficult is getting used to how easy it is to drive. The clutch seems light, the brake pedal doesn't press far, the gas is instantly there, and the throw is short. Reverse is hard though. Gotta use two hands for that.
Once driving, it wasn't too bad. I had to keep reminding myself not to give it so much gas. I had to prop myself up with the steering wheel at times to be able to see over. My friend had me floor it too. His feet almost went up on the dash, lol. All and all it's a great car. I think if I had it for a few days I would have been more confident with it. It's up my alley as far appearances go. Love the lines on the outside and the interior is so space-age. Also seems like you get a lot of bang for your buck. It would be nonstop smiling for me in this car.
I'm still uploading pix from last night, but I'll hopefully have today's drive pix up shortly.
