View Full Version : Ultimate Motor Works (aka Lambo of Orlando), how they doing now?

Was curious if anyone on here has used Lambo of Orlando for service lately and what their thoughts are? I believe Zzzzdoc told me they lost their primary mechanic who may have been a big part of their excellent service reputation. I'm coming up on my first service and with the shady characters down in South FL, Atlanta is the next closest. :(

Sorry, the only experience I have with them is about three years old. I didn't even know about the lead mechanic leaving.

Just got the car back from them a few weeks ago. Service was still top notch, although they really are hurting from losing the tech. Harold told me it could take a year to replace him. Getting top notch techs to move to Orlando isn't easy.

Really nothing bad to say about the experience. Not cheap, but it never is with exotics.

What did you end up paying? I am going to take mine in for oil change and normal 1st year fluid check, I'd prefer to get away with < $600 if possible?

Missing a digit in there

Actually, I have the bill at home. Wasn't cheap. But I also had to replace the battery, and bleed the brakes / put in racing fluid for the track, get the throttle bodies adjusted, have my door adjusted, replace two switches that fell off on I4 on my way to the dealer - so I had a bunch of things.

I might not be able to get you the brakedown until Monday. Or call Harold and ask what it would cost.

Lambo's come with racing fluid, Super Blue DOT4. But definitely good to bleed them anyway since you've had the car for a bit.

Damn, that's a lot, I'd be pissed off to spend more than $600 for oil change and annual checkup (if nothing ends up needing attention). Maybe I'll get Chris at C2 to do it, or myself, I'm going to put a four post lift in the new house to make working on the Radical easy, so it will be easy for me to get under it.

As soon as he reinstalls my Valentine 1 not backwards, Chris can be all yours.

Actually, don't jump to conclusions about Ultimate's pricing yet. Many parts of it weren't bad. Just the total really added up.

LOL, backwards as in front and back indicators are flipped?

zzzzdoc

Yup. Never realized it until a few weeks ago. It's so hidden, that I never realized I was looking over my shoulder when I should have been looking ahead. Thankfully I never got a ticket.

OK. Here goes.

Oil and filter change, including AGIP and oil filter - $477
Transmission fluid change, F&R Differential Fluid Change - $651
Brake and Clutch Fluid Flush with Blue DOT4 - $291

Total for those - $1419.

Welcome to exotic car hell, Dave. Could be worse. Could be a Ferrari, and after paying that, you drive home in a 308.:banghead:

You know, I've driven by UMW but never been inside. I guess because it's so damn out of the way for me.

That's not horrible on the oil change, I was kind of expecting that, and it does take a lot of oil with an uncommonly difficult to get to filter (there's a person on this forum who sells filter wrenches to fit it).

The tranny flush sucks, although I've heard Lamborghini has made it a complete bitch to do on the late model cars so I'm sure the labor accounted for a lot of that.

Brakes I'll do myself and save $250. :)

Honestly, i've paid more for a service on my audi before.

So thats not a bad deal.

Instead of taking over to Orlando for a oil change, why not just take it to The Auto Legend
http://www.theautolegend.com
I don't see any reason to pay dealer service prices to just change some fluids.

Thought Lambo dealer had to do it for warranty reasons? I still have 14 months left. :)

How's your Diablo? I heard a rumor it was back? Any chance you'll have it at C&C this weekend?

I never heard of having to take a car into the dealer to change fluids to keep the warranty. I don't know what Lambos warranty policy is, but you can call up the dealer to find out for sure (or look at the warranty paperwork). Usually the warranty is only void for the parts that have been replaced with aftermarket parts.

That is Kurt's Diablo that everybody is seeing with the 205MPH license plate. Mine hasn't even been looked at yet. I'll be down in Key West this weekend. I'll be bringing the MV Agusta down next month.

Ah, the mystery is finally solved. I should have found him in Ruth's Chris and said hi, but didn't want to impose.

Is Kurt on this board?

ferraris used to be like that. theyd make you pay their 40 bucks a qt to keep your warranty. maybe things have changed as of late but thats how it was with the 355
