I recently installed this on my 06 Gallardo SE. Total power gain(dyno tested) is around 10hp. Total weight savings(with cat delete) around 50 lbs. It sounds great, like a F1 car at full throttle, and a meaty, nasty type growl at idle.

Customer of ours had one on his Murci. Sounds sweet. Absolutely love the color of your SE. IMO that's the best for the SE. Do you have any photos? I'd like to drool today.:D

Vroom, where did you find an AWD dyno? I wanted to get my g55 on a dyno here in Tampa but the only place with a high horsepower awd is a Subaru dealer, and theirs only goes to 400 hp.

Yeah, for me it was VI or the pearl orange I was going to go with; when I finally had decided it had to be a spyder I went with orange as first choice, but if it were a coupe, VI, I love the contrast green to black, that is the absolute best color for that.

Thats what i like about it. I wouldn't get a regular G in V.I. I think its just too much, but with the black accents on the SE, it really sets it off.

Thanks guys. We dynoed on two wheels, just have to disconnect the front drive shaft, cost an extra 80 bucks. No video of the exhaust yet, its on my to do(later) list.

You think you're going to make it up for Cars & Coffee next month? I know it's stupid early, love to meet you in real life though, and hopefully we'll overwhelm the Ferrari guys for the first time. :) zzzzdoc and jrfootin will be there, lambolarry will have the Countach, I'll be there and I think zzzzdoc has a lead on getting some local Diablo guys possibly. I could bring the cameras so we can get some exhaust vids too.

If I am in town, I will try to make it, but you gonna have to give me a wake up call... Ever heard of the Skyway? Us guys down here in Sarasota, get lost if we have to go much farther than that.....
I met JR at Italiafest, great guy and a hard core track hound... It was way cool to see him on the track.

Sounds great at idle and full open, i prefer a little more low growl in the mid range though. But i guess i cant really talk lol

I've always been partial to the Hamann exhaust sound:

I'd probably go with that or the X-OST if I ever get it done.
yeah, i like the hamann too.

Vroom, how do you 'drive' when on a dyno? Do you just start in first and shift at redline through a certain number of gears and that's that?

Be carefull about aftermarket exhausts for the 06 and up Gs. Many will rob power. I started with a Tubi,(lost 30hp), went back to stock, then put on the OC unit and gained a little. The 06 models have a bypass valve that opens up at high throttle, which directs exhaust gas strait out the tail pipes, avoiding the mufflers alltogether. So if an aftermarket unit has a muffler set up(tubi,) without a bypass valve, you are likely to lose power. And if the aftermarket unit does have a bypass valve(rieter) then you are defeating the purpose, because when it is open you are back to a stock sound anyway....
To drive the dyno: shift up to 4th gear and then redline the engine.

Vroom, do you have any other angles of your exhaust pics? As best I can tell, you have the stock headers coming out of the engine and they end where we see the clamp and the thermal tape leading up to it. There's no cats of course, then the small mufflers that remain occur right before the outlet. Is that correct?
What I can't tell is where that additional tube goes that seems to come out of the pipes right after the headers before the first right-angle bend. I'm thinking maybe that's the balance pipe but the picture is deceiving and looks like it goes right back into the same tube it comes out of and each side is independent, but I'm also betting that I'm wrong on that.
