Frank Biela (DER), Audi R10 TDI.
Drivers Parade through Le Mans town.
24 Heures du Mans, La Sarthe, France. 17th-18th June 2006.
Although he is regarded as one of the finest sportscar racers in the world, the second round of the FIA GT Championship at Silverstone will mark the series debut of Frank Biela after he was signed to bolster Lamborghini's efforts for the Tourist Trophy.
With the All-Inkl.com Racing team heading to Silverstone on the back of a shock maiden win during the first round at Zhuhai, Biela has been tempted into the Murcielago alongside Stefan Mucke after Christophe Bouchut was forced to skip the round owing to commitments in the Le Mans Series.

More competition enters in round 4 of Australian GT Championship, Aston DBRS9 showing up to the table: :)

Should be very interesting. The Aston is a race proven winner. But on paper, very close, with handling, I would think, going to the Gallardo. That being said, I'd bet on the Aston.

LOL, isn't that the way it always works too?

It will be interesting to see how Frank gets on with the RGT. I will be watching. I should have the video of the race within a week after it airs.
Just for clarification. The Aston DBRS is headed for the Austrailian GT championship to race against the newly arrived G. A totally different series from the FIA GT series.

I can get them to you in avi. or mpeg. I am happy we get that since they aren't televised in the US. Along with LMS, and BSB we miss some great Euro racing.

I have both the second round of FIA GT (RGT) and FIA GT3 (Gallardo) I will post them up for download once I get them loaded on my site. Word of mention, I don't think Biela was driving . . . at least they don't have him listed in the results.

Wow. 2 Ascari KZ1s in the top 6 in GT3. Never even seen one of those in person. Nice cars, but so rare.

Chalk up a win for Lambo:
http://www.autoracingdaily.com/article/bryce_washington_the_big_winner_at_queensland_aust ralian_gt_championship/
Bryce Washington (NATRAD Lamborghini Gallardo GT3) was the dominant force at Round 4 of the Australian GT Championship held at Queensland Raceway at the weekend (May 26-27).
The young South Australian won all three races and as a result has now narrowed the gap to Championship leader Allan Simonsen (Consolidated Chemical Ferrari 360 GT) to just four points.
