sorry for the noob question but why is a POS?
when I think of POS, I think Piece of sh*t
That is exactly what POS means. basically anything that is NOT classed as an exotic is in fact... a POS. true story

seems that the Z06 is refered to POS more than other cars

I think the Z06 attracts the POS description more than any other car because:
1) Exotic owners like to call it that because it costs 25% of their car price and is faster so they're pissed off, and
2) Owners of less capable, but still 'sports car' models like Firebirds, etc., that can't afford the Z06 will also call it a POS becuase they don't have one and wish they did. And we all know that anything you can't afford but really want bad is a POS when you're talking to your friends about it. :) I just saw this POS Lear jet the other day, I'd never buy one of those. :lol2:
I think the interior quality is lacking, and the suspension a bit antiquated, but the Z06 is far from a POS and in capable hands it can perform quite well on the track, or at least good enough and the gobs of power let it catch up on the straights.

C6 Z06 is a hell of a car, no matter what the price. Quite a bit more refined than the C5, and faster to boot. Yes, it is lacking on some fronts, but keeping price in mind, still a bargain.

Yeah, I haven't driven either but my understanding is the engine in the C6 is not your daddy's C5 engine, it's a beast.

i agree with pdisme. cant argue the sub 100k price tag for performance like that.
