What a great day I had. Got picked up in a Diablo Roadster today. Had lunch in Napa, stopped by the Ferrari Challenge at Infineon, let some Asian tourists sit in the car and take pix, and then I drove the Diablo through SF. And I think I did really good. No stalling although I did have some trouble getting into first gear. I love that car. Now that is a man's car. So tough, but sexy. Yum!

nice, looks like fun. I drove with your friend Tom for a little bit on the Players Run in his friend Pauls yellow Diablo. A bit of a rough ride, he also had trouble with first. We ran into Tom and Paul at the race yesterday.

I'm just going to go ahead and say what everyone (who do not have a Lambo) is thinking. You SUCK!

I would think a Diablo would have plenty of torque to just start in second.

Who cares about those? If you want some, I'll post in the gallery. I have some from a different place.

Ya, that's what my friend said. Just put it in second and then down to first.
So I drove my car a little afterwards and it felt so different. The pedals seemed so far and I realized that the pedals in the Diablo were a lot closer because they are so much bigger. In the Elise they are close, but small. I think I caught myself on the break and clutch one time in the Diablo. It's a great car. And less intimidating then I thought. And the seat adjustment is much better than in an Elise.

The best words to describe seeing one with your own eyes is "SHOCK AND AWE". To this day (even after having owned two Diablo Roadster), I still get "aroused" every time I caught sight of one...

I definitely love the D roadster but I think I still like the Murci roadster more; it looks like the top got sliced off with a laser.

i have seen both up-close together.......the M-roadster is undoubtedly beautiful but IMO, the D-roadster simple looks OUT OF THIS WORLD...literally. the first time mine arrived, i could vividly recall my first thought once the trailer door openned, was "i need a pilot license for this thing...not a driver license"

LOL, did you buy it before seeing it? Here's the M roadster I always think of when thinking about roadsters.

Too bad I missed the event. It would have been fun driving with you in MY99 Diablo coupe. Although the roadster would be more fun. Let me know the next time you take the diablo out again. I would love to run with you.
I know you work at SF Lambo. But SVAG is having a breakfast for lambo owners tomorrow morning. Shiela and I are heading down for the day. There is a drive to a winery afterwards. If you are interested in going we would love to see you again.

Awh... so sweet. Thanks for the invite. I wish I had the time to go driving with you guys. I'll have to bug my roadster friend and see if he'd like to go driving with others. Would be fun. I want to work some pampering into the next drive. I'm sure Shiela would be up for that. Visit a spa, sip on some wine. Mmmmmmm.......

We had a great time today. We made it to the new SVAG service center about 9:30am. Nice catered breakfast and lots of cars. Each service station is dedicated to a different marque. This place is huge. They are also going to sell used cars there as well. It looked like about 100 people showed up. We then headed over to the Lambo dealership and hung out for a while. About 20 of us took our Lambos up to Bonny Doon Winery for some wine tasting. WOW!!! it was packed full of people. It was passport weekend. What a great day. I am sure Shiela would agree with you on the pampering and wine. The Lambo club is planning an outing on Fathers Day in Sonoma. To display our cars and they will cater us lunch. We will bring our own wine. Let me know if you are interested in going. Bring the Lotus, the lambo club is really cool even if you don't own a lambo.
