LOL, bad day at the office for him, although not very smart, I'm sure once a pilot gets fired they're blackballed from all the other airlines.
Did you know pilots don't make shit unless they're flying at the highest commercial level? I have a friend who's been flying personally for years and he got offered a job at Continental Express or whatever, one of those inter-city flights, and they offered him $20k/year to fly the 6 AM Tampa to Dallas route and return on the 6 PM route. Can you believe that? So we'll pay you less than someone at McDonald's to fly, sit for 12 hours twiddling your thumbs, then fly back. I guess it would be okay if you had a side business you could run from the internet while you build up flight hours but damn, $20k hurts.
