Anyone have a good place to get tires from? I've got Conti Sport2's right now and will probably need some new ones in about a month. I'm going to guess that Tire Rack is no good because of how big they've gotten, that usually is when the pricing is no longer competitive but you still buy there because they used to be good.

I always get tires from Tire Rack, prices seem to still be good compared to other sites and local tire shops.

Do you have a local place do the mounting and balancing? Do they give you any trouble with high speed balancing?

I usualy have the tires drop shipped to my dealer or my fathers buisness and take them to a after market shop or the dealer to mount

Just noticed you're in Orlando, that's pretty close to me, do you ever do any track days around FL?

Anyone have thoughts on the Conti Sport2's that I run? I've heard they are actually a pretty decent tire for aggressive driving but wear quicker than others, which is okay with me. I did two track days at Sebring in my G with them, as a novice, and I don't think I'll get more than five or six more days out of them before the front left is gone and then I'll have to replace them all since they're asymmetrical tires. :(

Bumping this up, still looking to find out what you're all running for tires and likes/dislikes.

Have you ever run the Conti Sport2's? I'm really pleased with how they performed at Sebring but I don't think I could get more than maybe four or five more track days out of them before they're gone. It's hard to give a good comparison for tires since you have to wait so long to get the next set.

Never run the continentals on the G, still on my first set; 5k miles, prolly another 1 or 2k left. I will be staying with the pirellis, they have great grip, and because they are a track type tire, they also smooth out the ride a little. The SE sport suspension is on the hard side.

I might give those a try next time Vroom, what's the difference between Corsa's and Rosso's & Nero's if you know? Tire Rack doesn't seem to have Corsa's.
Looks like they show pretty high dry traction ratings for Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position. The Saleen S7 uses the Pilot Sport PS2's and that has some tire shredding torque.

I am not an expert, but Corsas are made for the track, very sticky. Rossos are a regular street tire. Tire rack used to stock the Corsas, I bought one there last fall due to taking a nail.
