Looks pretty good. I like what they do to the "black series". I really took a liking to the SLK55 Black but 120K up from 60k was a bit of a price hike for 50 more bhp and fix carbon roof.

I don't know, that ground effects kit still looks a little ricer for my liking, if I was gonna do it, I'd still want the CLK DTM more.

I agree, It is a sexy car and would look sharp as hell in black or a dark grey, but the kit just looks... cheap.

I don't know why they keep doing so much with this generation CLK.
i dont think the CLK is anything special to look at. I'd rather have an S series of some sort.

I don't think it looks bad at all. The DTM looked over the top and it should have because that was the point. This looks just right.

I love the look of the car, however mercedes probably wont send the good version to the states, so their is no reason want one

It looks much better in person, trust.
I wish they stayed with the SC 5.4 instead of going NA though.

Looks like this thing is turning out to be pretty beefy:
500 HP, 478 ft. lbs. torque = ~3.8 sec 0-60

The performance may be impressive, but the styling leaves much to be desired. I would never pay that kind of money for a car that looks like a CLK ricer.

for that type of money , the performance should be alot better . 4.3 0-60 . the old e55 was just as quick or even quicker and thats for less than 1/2 the money !!!!
this Black Series car is fitted with a 6.3L V8 engine developing 507hp and capable of pushing the car to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
reading is fundamental Dave , lololol ...... 3.8 ??? what are you guys smoking down in fla , send some up here ....
AMG’s acceleration forecast is 0-to-60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Since we’ve already recorded a 4.2 for the CLK63 cabrio—less power, more mass—4.1 seems pretty conservative. Shall we say 3.8? Yes, let’s.
you're both right i guess.
Love it :grinning-smiley-003

I'm going on the part of the article that Matt quoted. :) But I will randomly make up numbers if it bothers you. :lol2:

I would just take a CLK-DTM. Its the only car I would purchase from Mercedes Benz besides the new generation S-Class

DTM is a very nice but in a much different price bracket, not legal in the US and out of production . . .

Yes, there are but I am not dealer and even if had 220k I am really not interested in playing the "games" with the state/local/dmv in order to get a car like that tag in this country. Don't even mentioned show and display law because a car like that in my garage is getting driven more than 2500 miles per year. If tagging a non US car was easy as most people who are not dealers lead on than I would call it a day and buy Zonda and be done with it all.
After doing what I done with my Lotus to get it through emissions and make sure it passes this and passes that, it would be nice to simply go buy a car and just drive it with no strings attached. The DTM is NOT that car.
