Well the good thing is now I know whoever banned me is reading this forum so that means I don't have to guess who it was and try to private message them since I can just post here and they'll see it....
Not sure what motivated you to do that, I have not mentioned this site on your board, had no plans to do so and anyone who does know of the board learned of it through email from me. I was still actively contributing to lpower as recently as this morning and had planned to continue doing so. I'm sorry someone's feelings have been hurt but unless I were to post something inappropriate over there, or insulting over here, I can't fathom a reason why I should be banned. Simple fact is no one is taking care of lpower and we all lost six months of conversations and thoughts; if that motivated me to create a new area for people to post if the choose to, why do you even care?
If that's how you feel, so be it, I guess I've received the same thanks for the past six months of my posting as I did for offering to help with the board problems: none. If you'd like to email me directly, please do, I'd love to discus it further.

I've now been banned for no apparent reason. My account was completely reinstated this afternoon and when I get back from drinks this evening. I can't login.
The error returned was:
Sorry, you are not permitted to use this board.
How lame.

Did you make payment for this month as a sponsor? If so, you should make a complaint and threaten to sue. That's what I would do. Regardless, it's ok....we'll be growing very soon!

They banned my home IP, well see what happens when I attempt to log in from work. They also banned my friend Yovanni who has 0 posts because of the crash. She is on suspension till July 2008. How pathetic of them. Her bf still has access though, so we fiugred out we were targeted specifically and they don't know who he is. It would be funny if they started banning legitimate users because they are so paranoid, lol.

I think it's more related to a system glich than them banning you..I've received the same message on a few occasions. Just try and log in at a later time.
It's the LP witch hunt. I'm going to go hide now...

not sure what the problem is with posting over here and there. Should I be banned because I visit all of the following forums multiple times in a single day?
camaroz28.com
ls1tech.com
lambo-power.com
talklambo.com
narutofan.com
myspace.com
ls2.com
moneytube.com
It is just childish to start banning people because they use a different forum AND the other one.
On a side note, to everyone that's banned, I hope it's just a glitch of some kind and it gets resolved soon.

Now there are rumors that Google Videos and Youtube are going to do Revenue sharing the same as Moneytube. Not sure if it is because of Sprite, or coincidence.

That's how google works, the 500 pound gorilla either buys, duplicates or steals (and writes off the litigation as cost of doing business) depending on what would cost them the least.

I really hope sprite pulls it off and sells Moneytube to Google after a few years for 1.2 billion or something. I'm really starting to hate Googles approach to competitors.

Only thing I like about Google is that they piss microsoft off, other than that I think they're ruining a lot of small and legit merchant's businesses with the exorbitant PPC fees and brutal ability to make or break you based solely on how they feel their algorithm should work this week.

moneytube is a site that is basically like youtube or Google videos, but you get paid to do it. It's free to join and Sprite2005 is one of the owners.

What's your approach? I have 4 pages (roughly 40 videos) of links on there. I posted links of all the popular videos from other sites. Im still not getting squat as far as views and only have .15 cents. Some people posted 1 video link and have 10,000 views. Are you spamming sites or what to drive traffic to your video links?
pdisme
03-01-2007, 08:20 PM
Have you posted them where they get a lot of views? Mailing lists are incredibly good places for that because people love to read email and click links while they should be working, and you've got their sole attention. Forums and other places not so good because if the person is going through new posts, they might not come back to yours to click the link.

I'm up to $11.92 I think. It's a rolelrcoaster effect really. I think one of my videos is top 9 right now, highest was top 4. And I was top 8 user, but not anymore.
I have been banned from three boards now. That was using the spamming techinic, trying to get them to just look at the freaking video. But mods delete the thread before people can see them.
Use boards that people know you from.
For instance, If I put a link to a Bugatti video that I have, it's a good chance that people would look at it. But if someone that is brand new to this board with no posts puts that same link up, they wouldn't get that many views.
Moneytube does look for spammers of there site from what I can tell, and I'm glad. Some kid got 56,000 views in 24 hours. It was a kick ass video of a Naruto AMV that I actually liked. But he is gone now. Krad was his name I think.
Any helpful tip is to put ALOT of videos on Moneytube, the more you have, the more chances people will find a video that is yours.
I'm honestly doing this to get Sprite's business out there, and to see if it's legit (NO OFFENSE).
At that note, Where is Sprite I thought he was coming over here too?

I can post endless videos, but I don't think the traffic is there yet and we are on our own to drive traffic to the videos for the most part. I think Sprite said last month traffic was only like 2,000 unique visitors. Which is not bad I guess for a first month. I want to promote the site and such, I'm just worried about Youtube is gonna adopt the same model and crush MT. On top of that I worried about the sites future once YouTube get wind of it.

Yes, it is COMPLETELY up to us to generate the visitors. But I take it as a nice goal to achieve.
P.S. Rumor has it that Google Videos and Youtube are working ont here own model of the Revenue Sharing. Now whether this is due to Sprite, or coincidence one can only speculate. This is because of the whole copyright infringements that are going on. If you share the profits with the viewers, than I guess you are good with the copyright gods.
Google will not buy sprites website, the traffic and thus revenue are not to googles liking at this point (going buy their previous buy outs). It is a good idea, IF and only if sprite can get traffic up a lot.
I have a great idea for a website, i just need to find someone that can help me make it. It would require uploading and downloading and also a standalone client similar to sprites website.

What are you talking about? The google guys go to Lambo-power.com ALL the time. If you look I think the user name is Google, or mister Google. Something like that. They NEVER post, but you will see them online at least once a week or so.
Several members of that board know them personally and give them insider stock tips.
Now as far as what they drive, that's not why I posted, but they are BOTH HUGE lambo fans.

LOL, Jason, I hate to do this to you, but that's the Invision Power Board that LP runs that's showing that, not actually members with Google names. :) On this board, if you look at who's online, it only shows members and then a guest count, but their board requires a login to view it so the forum software they use has a special configuration that identifies and lets search engines in without logging in first so that they can crawl the site; it does that using some pseudo login so it shows up in the users list but isn't an actual user. You see it on there all the time because their site has a large number of pages and Google is there crawling frequently.
We just need more posts, then you'll see more guest logins all the time. :grinning-smiley-003

What you see is Google bot crawling the site. It's not "The Google guys". All the "inside stock tips" talk was a big joke on the newbies who thought the Google bot was the Google guys lurking on LP. Obviously the Google guys would not be giving inside tips to some guys on a internet message board. Well, that's unless the want to do several years in prison.
