I am thinking of starting an investment club for 30-50 people (Jamaica only for now, sorry). It will be a thing where people give me their money and I spread it over some hedge funds in the Caribbean (like OLINT and WorldWise), as well as some high returns mutual funds (CI Investments) and some high performing stocks internationally. Tell me if this sounds like a good idea, as it will be able to give returns of 50-60% per annum with compound interest.

way boy your moving quick. First you have to ask the question who and why would anyone trust you with any substantial amounts of money? What are your credentials? What is your track record...i know almost nothing about investing, so i'm sure those in the know will chime in shortly.
When you say Caribbean are you talking about the Islands specifically? Or would some South American Countries be included as well?

Yeah the islands. I know a few good hedge funds in Jamaica and have some money in a Turks Based one. I have no experience with other people's money but i have managed my money pretty well. Also in Jamaica, people will just throw money into any scheme promising high returns. Pretty sad, but I can do it.

I guess if you could prove your results and the people knew you, and knew where you lived (should they need to break your legs:fu:). I wouldn't mess with it, if it were me in the US. If I messed up without the umbrella of a firm and lose people's money I'd probably get sued...or killed.

Aren't there rules governing the operation of this type of business?

even being a professional money manager like myself , i would never ask that on a public site of strangers . real money managers have business come to them if you are good enough ex. referrals etc... not very ethical imo , no offense .drift

Bd, I havent even gone to college yet :p. But people put their money into stuff without researching it first. I am honest however and wont steal the money (Google Cash Plus), and I can make some big returns.

Yeah same. I thought about managing other peoples money, but it's just not worth the hassle. When you're making good returns, you just don't need other people's money.
Getting some serious returns atm. 25% roi in 3 hours trading yesterday and over 50% roi in 24 mins worth of trading today lols. :headbang:

What is your track record?
What is your equivalent of the SEC?
