One hell of a sink hole; they're normally not that large in Florida, just small house sized worst case.

It happens a lot in Florida when it rains heavily, holes just open up and swallow cars and houses. :)

I'm starting to feel pretty sheltered in California now. All we have is earthquakes. I can't even imagine what it would feel like to be sucked into a hole. Is there any advance warning? Where do you go?

No advanced notice, but they don't open up all huge at once like that, usually they start slow and you find there's a hole in your yard the size of a gallon bucket or something, then you pray it doesn't keep getting larger and suck your house in. The one's that are bad are the small ones that open up under your house that you don't know about, then one day you find a big crack down the wall because your house has shifted. :)

theres a few REALLY big sinkholes in tampa/npr area. I know for a fact there is one behind gulfview square mall in port richey, that is litterally so big, it has cave systems attached to it, and is a popular cave diving site... the whole thing is filled with water.
