Anand Jon has been a friend of mine for 7 years. I've modeled for his runway shows before, but we were mostly friends not work colleagues. I get this link emailed to me from my old business partner from when I first met Anand in NYC. The subject is "...interesting". This is very interesting indeed.

Latest news is he is out on 1.3 million dollars cash bail. It's sad to read this. I don't know what to believe, but it's disappointing because he had so many big dreams and was making them happen. He wanted to become a lifestyle brand, not just clothing. His sister was pretty much his right hand, always present and he would always consult with his mom on business ideas before going forward.

Thoughts?

I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

I don't like to say if he is innocent or guilty. The way society is these day, they will judge him guilty until proven innocent and that's sad.

I hope everything is okay with him either way and that he does okay.

Sad to hear.

If I have learned anything about having high profile friends in trouble with the law is to support your friend innocent or guilty. One of my friends is involved in the case of the high dollar maddame in Atlanta. When I found out he was involved, it was quite a shocker considering that he's not that kind of guy. Regardless of whether or not he did anything with her (he says he didn't but the DA says that the did) I will be standing there with him in support. That's all really I can do.

If this guy was indeed a good friend of yours, I would say just to be a friend to him right now. He's getting judged by EVERYONE right now, and that includes people that he used to call close "friends." Just be there for him no matter what the situation may be...

Oh, and just as a word of advice, don't believe anything you read in the papers or hear on the news... Those stories can have such a negative slant that they can turn someone you've known to be a good person for a long time into a straight up monster. Just my .02... I wish you and your friend the best.

It's amazing how the press can ruin someone's name. Even though Anand and I did not always see eye to eye I always saw him as a respectful person, especially when it came to boundaries. I sent him a nice text message yesterday, but I definitely don't want to be involved in any of the drama. And thank you for your .02. I think it applies to all people, not just celebrities.

It sure does... although, celebrities get more press than Joe Schmo, so for them it's ultra difficult. In the case of my buddy, he's not a celebrity like your friend, he just happens to be the son of someone pretty influential... so it looks REALLY bad.

"He was initially charged March 13 with seven counts, including forcible rape, lewd acts upon a child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, sexual battery by restraint and attempted forcible oral copulation. Those charges involved three alleged victims, including a 15-year-old" The new charges involve four other alleged victims, including a 17-year-old. Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mitch McCann said that although most of the women were in their early 20s and teens when the alleged assaults took place, at least two were minors."

As a person and a friend, he was probably a very nice guy. But so was Ted Bundy. As a human, he's obviously a piece of shit. The guy is accused of some bad shit, and messing with 15 year olds. It appears to me he has a thing for underage girls.
Let him rot..

That is the part I think will screw him. In the modeling industry, most of the girls are underage. Every time we hung out, I was the oldest woman there besides his family members.

If Anand gets convicted on even two of those charges, his life is over. He's facing up to 20 years in prison just for messing with that one 15 year old. And he has 10 more charges against him. I think they are all felonies. Plus there could be more in NY. I would say he's done. He's going to prison for life.

What a total waste. He dude sounds like he could have no problem getting a piece of ass if he wanted. It looks to me he likes the younger girls. And he used his influence to get them. So now he's in a world of shit.

Jon's attorney, Ronald Richards, has said the designer did nothing wrong and that the alleged victims — including a 15-year-old girl — are models who made false allegations against his client because he refused to employ them to the extent they wanted.

I believe that.

If he is fixing to make it big, they want to ride his coat tails and get there too.

Knowing his personality, that's what I think too. It would have been easier if he just pretended to be gay. What are the odds? A heterosexual fashion designer.

I might believe the accusations were false if it was one, MAYBE two girls. When you have 11 girls and counting, that's a tough pill to swallow. If it was forced sex or not, does not matter. Seem a few of the girls were under age. I would not doubt it at all if some of them were giving up easy ass to try to make it to the big time. He prolly banged them, then they got mad when he pushed them aside for other models. I'm sure it happens all the time. Problem here is the age. Even if he gets aways with a forced rape charge, they are gonna come back at him with statutory rape charge even if they sex was consentual, and they will get it.

I hate the press and how both sides try their cases there instead of in court; everything that comes out is bs and you don't know what will end up being fact.

I found this. http://www.littleindia.com/loadattachment.php?attachmentid=136_1708_48. It's pretty surreal. It's like am I going to wake up one day and it was all just a bad dream. I bet he wishes that were the case too.

Some people are finally started to say positive things and showing other sides of the stories. Part of me wants to get involved, but I don't want the attention. I feel sorry for his family.

Sounds to me like he may of got hosed in a way. Like by the chick that came to his apartment. But then he hosed himself by picking underage girls to go after.

Strange case though. I can't figure it out. I can't figure out if he's a rapist, a pedophile, if he's getting a raw deal or a little of everything. but he obviously has a taste for younger girls. I can't blame him. Who does not like hot 19 year old girls. But he may of crossed the line.

Guess he should have video taped the whole thing, then if he's telling the truth, the tape will set him free! :)

I've dealt in the fashion industry a bit and our studio did a couple shoots for magazines, and I'll tell you it's a dirty business. My sister is also a full time model, and the stories she tells me are horrible. I hope he didn't do anything to underage girls, but hope it all works out for your friend.

Guess he should have video taped the whole thing, then if he's telling the truth, the tape will set him free! :)

:stupid: 1st rule I learned from another photog..video tape everything with a big disclaimer that hey you're on video..and never go into non taped areas with a model.

Umm, you have to have someone as your friend to receive bulletins from them.

I'm really sorry for your friend. Now is the time to support him any way you can. I have heard of more fabricated rape cases than actual rapes. Either way, I would want a close look as to the employment histories of these 20-something 'kids' when weighing wether to lend credence to their stories. In the end, only the accused and accuser know the truth.
