When I got my new Ducati 749R a couple years ago I took it for a ride to a friend’s house and on the way home I got pulled over by a CHP. He acted like an ass when he was giving me a ticket, then had the nerve to try and ask me about the performance of the bike how do I like it how much did it cost etc.. Ignored him and took off. Some cops are nice but most are on a power trip.

During the players run a couple years ago we got pulled over several times, and I would say most of the time the cops were nice and wrote the tickets down for 75-80 instead of 100+ During the second leg of the run from NY to LA a group of us were traveling at well over 100 when up ahead the state police blocked the highway and had us pull into a rest stop with a gas station and some fast food joint. As the group came off the off ramp it was like a game of catch me if you can 5 out of the 7 cars scattered and made a break for it around all sides of the building in the rest stop in an attempt to get to the on ramp and get back onto the highway to avoid the cops. Another cop came out of no where and blocked the on ramp got out of his car and pulled out his gun. My friend and I in the 360 spider reversed turned around and drove back up the off ramp, flipped a bitch on the highway and took off. Lucky us we got away everyone else got held there for an hour and got tickets.

Here is one photo of us with a nice cop joking around on the side of a highway

LOL, that is awesome!

How do tickets work out of your home state? Do you have to pay it on the spot?

No Dave, thats called a bribe if you pay it on the spot :lol2:

I think its as much a pain in the ass as you think it is. meaning you have to send the money to the county court of wherever you got pulled over.

Ah, yes I'm thinking of a Mexican traffic ticket. My mom was telling me a story one time, since she lived in Yucatan for about five years; she's a horrible driver and evidently she t-boned someone at slow speed by running a stop sign. So the damage was not horrible, car door bent in, paint damage on her bumper; well the cop shows up and of course cops there are strapped with machine guns so it's kind of intimidating. She ends up paying off the cop and the person she hit for a total of $175, didn't even need to call insurance or fix the other car. LOL, gotta love that.

I've only been pulled over three times (knock on wood), but it's the same road every single time. I've gotten a warning, a ticket, and a ticket. The first time the officer was parked in a turn lane around a corner and I was nailed, no question, gave me a warning since it was my first offence. 60 in a 45. Next time I was going past that turn lane after a State Trooper and pulled out of a neighborhood and was accelerating, and I went by him at about 50 in that same 45. He turned on his lights and pulled me over at the same gas station as last time. He got all pissy and was like "MOST PEOPLE SLOW DOWN WHEN THEY ARE NEAR A STATE TROOPER! YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH AUTHORITY!?" and I said "No, sir, and to be honest with you I don't think I was over the spe.." "I HAD TO GO SIXTY TO CATCH UP WITH YOU! GIVE ME YOUR INFORMATION AND STAY HERE!" The some dick getting gas was like "YEAH YOU DONE DID TELL HIM OCCIFER! and gave me a dirty look. I wanted to stick the air hose up his ass and see how far he would inflate but that's besides the point.

Ummm, if you have to go sixty to, say, CATCH UP with someone, as in close a gap, wouldn't they be going slower than sixty? That just seems like common sense to me, but what the hell ever. Ticket for 60 in a 45.

I was going down a side road that is nice and twisty in my CL, speed limit is 35, I was doing about 45ish through the corners at 3 in the morning coming home from work, because I wanted to get home and go to bed, and because I liked feeling my car pull me through the corners. Didn't notice the headlights in my rear view were a Crown Vic. Sigh, pull out onto that same damn road, get pulled over at the same gas station. 50 in a 35. Sigh.

Funny story, I was pulling off that same side road and a cop slams on his brakes going the opposite way, does a 180, and begins to follow me for a ways, flips his lights and pulls me over. At this point I'm like WTF since I did nothing wrong. At most I thought I may have not stayed a full three seconds at the stop sign, but I didn't know. Anyway he comes up and asks for my licsense then checks the front of my car. Asks if I was in an area about 15 mintues ago and ran from the cops. Told him no and he asked me if I was sure, like I was going to say "YOu know what, YOU GOT ME!" and I affirmed my non-guilt. He let me go and that was that.

Needless to say, I hate where I live. Pulled over four times in the same half mile radius.

We just mailed checks with the tickets back to each state. No points added to my CA license thank god. Other friends had their lawyers deal with it because of arrest for doing 180-200+ and racing.
