View Full Version : Car took a crap!!
So saturday night i was on my way to the studio and... my car throws up a coolant warning. I look down at my engine temp gauge and its two lines short of the hottest temp. This happened in the time it took me to get about 2 miles. So being a saturday night there wasn't much i could do. Had the car towed back to the condo and today had it towed to reeves audi.
Hopefully its just a bad thermostat or something minor, but i have a feeling its gonna cost a fair bit. I'll also be minus a car for a couple days, and thanks to the wonderful laws in florida i'm not old enough to even get a rental car. :fgay:
:banghead: just thought i'd vent a little...

Ouch, sorry to hear that, must be a friggin' gold plated water pump; my new high flow pump for the g-wagen was only about $225, maybe you could do something aftermarket like that for less?
Yeah, thats including labor and shit. Pretty outrageous.

Holy shit, what could they possibly have done to require that much labor time? That had better have come with a happy ending.
I know right. The chick that was helping me was pretty hot, so a happy ending would have been VERY welcome. I dont know if it was one of those deals where they have to virtually take the engine apart to get to the pump or what, but my ass is still sore from that raping.
There was a yellow gallardo parked just outside the shop, anyone know the owner?

I only know of one yellow G in Tampa and the general consensus is that it's owned by the guy who owns the club Prana in Ybor; don't think anyone has met him though.
damn, I've always been interested in opening a club, I'd of liked to chat with him then...

I had that interest until talking with some of the people that work at local clubs around here from when I have thrown my big annual party, it is a real cut throat industry, half the employees steal shit from you, the bartenders pour a decent portion of the drinks for free for their friends, high turnover on the low end positions, if you don't have good managers you're screwed, dj's come and go, etc. If I was just sitting on some money and had the time I'd do it, but no way I could handle the workload with my other stuff.
key word there... good managers.

After learning all that plus some, I still have the interest.
There are ways to stop the stealing and free drink giving. For example, make sure every drink is counted(by a POS system of course), even spilt drinks, keep track of inventory, and you know just how many drinks are "spilt" per night. treat your employees well and give them reason to be loyal (perks, free drinks on their night off), and you wont have a problem.
I was very interested in starting a club about 6 months ago, hours of research, etc but realised i dont have the kind of credit i'd need to get even half the loan i'd need. i know of a few properties for sale in tampa that were/could be clubs.

Ever since I watched Casablanca when I was little I wanted that to be me. "Everybody comes to Rick's, you know?" But in my case it would be "So you wanna go to B's tonight?" "HELL YES!"
I think the dinner/strip club thing Rachel's has going on could work very well for me.

You shouldn't start a club using a loan, too much risk.
