$39 Billion dollar loss reflecting unclaimed tax credit and GMAC related. It is SCARY how these companies are coming out the billions in losses as if it's nickles and dimes.....It's almost appears comically as a race to see who can show the biggest quarterly losses.....

It's tragic comedy. Mr. CEO you lost billions for the company, you are fired, here's your $100 million severance check now get lost!

Mick, you got it......

We will discuss flights to quality toward US treasuries/Gov bonds, record low US dollar for those export-sensitive sectors and the increase in non-farm productivity (hourly output per worker). :)

I guess when the real estate market is bad, the next thing to get affected are cars? Are other car companies doing badly too?

on a more serious note, i know it's depressing....keep in mind, the adverse impact of this credit crunch reverberates across all segments/sectors of all economies. ours is no exception (more so).

i've been dropping hints for the last few months on here and to a few....the financial disaster at ML and its severity were a known entity to multiple insiders over 3 months ago. no surprises from this corner.....

just want you all to be cautious and measured in your investment strategies. if you must, do things SMALL. you don't have to be in the mkt everyday. i told one of my traders today....."there is always market tomorrow.....take the day off and go car shopping"

this is collectively a VERY big derivative mkt w/ big swings (derivative as in inter-related).....it will do what it needs to do to get your attention....it reminds me of my childhood when one of my sibblings got in trouble, mom/dad couldn't care less which one did it. all of us kids got our asses kicked....just remember what you see might only be part of a much bigger picture.

hope everyone did what you had to do today w/o much pain.....

These changes in the economy just cost me my biggest client for my biz this morning and the impact of losing them alone is gonna hurt bad :(

The economy is piece of shit right now.
