Looking at getting an extra car that is more suited for running errands, fitting more than 2 people.
I'm considering a 2006/2007 BMW M5, 2007 Audi RS4 or possibly a 2005 CL65 AMG. Any opinions on these cars? Other cars in a similar price range? I will still be using my Murci as a daily driver so this will be a car that I will mostly use when I need to run errands or fit more than 2 people.
Audi:
+ Cheaper than the rest.
+ 6 Speed
+ Seems like a fun car
BMW:
+ 7 Speed SMG
+ Nice interior
Nothing I can really find bad about this car
Mercedes:
+V12 TT
+600+ hp, massive torque
-Automatic Transmission
-Poor handling
-Old man's car?
I think a M5 is the car I'm leaning the most towards. What do you guys think?

Sprite, I'll PM Jon913d on here, he detailed my cars today and we were talking about the Kleemann stuff I just had put on the g-wagen and I think he mentioned his dad had the CL65 so he may be able to give you some feedback on that.
Murci daily driver, you're crazy. :) I'd kill to have that Benz if I didn't have the g-wagen but based on the cars you already have I might be inclined to go with the RS4 and give it a bunch of crazy engine and suspension mods just to have fun with it since it's smaller and more of a toss it around kind of car. The M5 is bad ass but still big and you have a big high power car already.
I cant find anything bad to say about Audi. I love mine, and i will definetly be getting a newer one in the future.

Yeah it's not an easy choice, I tried to list what I consider the pros/cons of each car from my perspective. I guess the best way to find out is test drives. I didn't realize how much the CL65AMGs had dropped in value though, they seem like a steal now, availible @ 90k for 05's with a MSRP of 175k.

I would get the s65. You can buy a 2006 for $100K below msrp. That's the best, fastest everyday car. I call it a sleeper, because you can run with & probally beat a Porsche Twin Turbo.

Wow, that changes things a bit, I didn't realize you could pick one up for $95k, I was thinking $160k+. That thing would be a stop light bruiser. Hmm, all that torque sure is fun, that might be the way to go. :)

Absolutelly, they are going on both ebay and auction for $90-100K.
I have a dealers license so I know. I can post the Manheim MMR reports if anyone ever needs a true auction value. The MMR report is what they compile the"Black Book" from; but I get it in real time..........

It seems like a lot of car for the money. Don't think they can go a whole lot lower when they have taken a 100k hit in just 2 years.

For the money, I think it is the best car out there; as a matter of fact, I am thinking about buying one, driving it for 6-8 months then reselling it for the same or possiblly more. I think it would make an excellent everyday day car. Has more tourq than a Murci!!!!

Hell yeah every day car, you can remove asphalt from the street and plant it the grille of the person behind you every day. :)

Hasn't that same thing happened with most of Mercedes 12 cylinder cars? SL65 took a big hit too right?

I would get a CLS 63, hey wait, I have one.
I love this car and it pulls like a freight train.

Yes. It gives me hope that in five years I can have a billion pounds of torque.

I'll have to give you a ride in the g-wagen now, it's making about 620 lb ft. :)

I'd be fine with that. Then I'll give you a ride in the Magnum and you can see the amazing lack of torque. It has 340hp/390lbs, but it weighs two tons so it's not that impressive.
Also, in response to this thread, I wouldn't get the RS4 if I could get an S6 or S8. But I heart the Audi A8, and with a V10 it's even better! However, it's almost impossible to resist the massive Mercs, which in that case I'd get an S-class AMG model. You really can't go wrong with either one, the 55 or 65.

I have experience with both, my last car was a CL 600tt(chipped by Renntech, 11.90 quarter mile!), my current daily beater is a 06 M5.
Two completely different cars, the M5 is a driver's car, engages you, handles way better, is more fun to drive. The merc has massive torque and incredible straitline acceleration, but handles like crap( i tested the AMG 65, basically the same, a little firmer ride). The benz is an great hwy cruiser though, and the the feeling of torque/power when you hit it is incredible. After you get used to that beast of a v-12 engine, its tough to go back; in fact I miss my CL600.....
