I like the Rolex Sea-Dweller or the Steel Oyster Datejust and similar styles. What other silver looking metal band watches are good for $5k or less?

I would highly recommend the Seadweller to you. It is my favorite daily beater and it stands up to everything. You simply can't buy more value for the money. :)

I always stock alot of them as they sell very well.

I think I'm getting the Seadweller after all. Maybe the Ulysse for my next one. Is that a good brand? I know nothing about watches lol.

UN is a great brand. Much less common than a Rolex. Usually won't get you noticed and most people have no idea what the hell watch it is. I have the maxi marine and love it.

Yeah that one is kind of the ugly ex girlfriend from high school; it was cool at the time but no need to show your friends. :lol2: :lol2: :fu:

Watches look good in my opinion, but I have never understood the obsession that some people have over watches. I don't even wear one. I use my cell if I want to know the time, just look on the cover.

Anyone want to try and shed some light for me?

A high end watch is a piece of art; does it perform a task a cheap watch could not, no, but having a Picasso on your wall doesn't either, yet people still collect them. :)

Hey, Stryke... What's your take on the Breitling brand as well as the Breitling Navitimer Heritage?

That's the one that I'm in love with and may end up buying once I graduate from USF...

If they keep playing football they way they are right now, you may want to transfer out of embarrassment; too late for me. :lol2:

That's the bad karma that was brought about by those retards that were saying that USF was going to be playing for the BCS Title... Cart before the horse, people... Cart before the horse... :banghead:

We had just this conversation at work a few days ago. My kids don't wear watches, and can't conceive of doing so. Just look at their cell phones. I realized that I have never once in my life looked at my cell phone for the time. And I can't imagine not having a watch on during the day.

Are watch sales down? I would think the high end would be find, but are the cheaper watches vanishing?
