Let's say someone gave you one million to invest any way you want. The goal is to make as much off of it as possible, but not to lose it. What would you do with it? Putting it in the bank at 5% only gets you about $50k/yr.

I'd be OK with $50k/year.

Give it to my financial advisor who made me just over 20% last year that would be 200k. The only $$ i keep in the bank is to pay monthly bills, thats it.

Yeah, same here, financial adviser is averaging about 14% over the past 12 months so I'll give it to him. What does he do with it? Who knows. :lol2: Either that or I'll start slangin' rocks.

Well I could by my microbus, a surfboard, a hammock, and a palm tree.
Or...
I could go to vegas, put it all on red, and let it ride.
Or..
I would spend it all on fast cars, booze, and women. I'd waste the rest.
Hey easy come, easy go. Option C seems fun, eh?
Now who's going to give me the million and see how it all plays out?

Strippers.
At the local bar ????????
Only if there's a change in the political landscape.
(For those of you not in the know, our fine province currently does not allow local bars to feature exotic dancers).
Yea, I know, sucks to be us.

Oh lord no.
I've heard scary stories about the previous place that was run out of the industrial area, not going to touch that with a 50ft pole.

Best move you could make .
Of the money you''ll make, you need to maintain a reinvest of about 3-5% so your money can keep up with inflation, you'll sleep better always know your money will always have the same buying power (worth) as it originally did :grinning-smiley-003.
Bottom line is NEVER spend the principle & be sure its never looses value!!!!!

Considering I am averaging about 150% per year in my conservative investment I would simply continue on my current track and turn the 1M into 2.5M. :)

Hahaha I expected that response. Unfortunately it is an active investment, not a passive one so it requires hands on.

I would invest half of it in various mutual funds and take the other half over to my friend Asadulah who works in securities... ;)
