First off this is not a joke. Second, I'm not drunk.

I'm offering this to my friends first. I have well over $300K into this place. It is in an upscale area across from a gated country club, have well maintained top of the line equipment (suncapsule, ergoline, etc), all of which is paid for except for 2 units that are carrying on lease. Underwent a large electrical upgrade last year that cost about 10K, new Ceramic tile in the lobby, Practically all new beds in the past couple years. (9 beds and and 2 airbrush units for spray tanning) hardwood throughout, etc etc.

I want to be out by the 20th. I'm pursuing other things and going to expand my graphics business. It's been a lot of fun. You take over the lease of my space, and the lease on the 2 pieces of equipment , and honor all existing contracts and the place is yours. Your welcome for the $300K and the 4 years of work. i'll even train you to operate it. In close proximity to 3 high schools with another opening within a half mile next year, and shares a parking lot with a large gym, pizza place, sports bar, dry cleaner, hair salon, natural grocery store, etc.

This hasn't been an easy decision to come to, but it's final. Please only send me a message or call me if you are serious and able to do something about it. Anyone that sends me any type of joking e-mail or just wants to stick their nose in my business, sorry but I'm not in the mood and don't have time for it- I will most likely delete you.(this is on myspace as well) (If I know you well enough that it matters than you already know what I'm going through, if not well then hint hint- if I wanted you do know I would of told you) Please no stupid responses from teenage customers unless you are trust fund kid and can actually undertake this. Thank you for understanding.

I'm done. I figure I may as well give someone else a fantastic deal. I've been stolen from and screwed over more this year (not in the business, but in my personal life) in more ways than anyone should be in a lifetime, including from members of my own family. There is nothing like getting kicked in the balls when you are down and that is the final straw so hard as it is I'm doing what I need to do to move on with my life. Again not going into it, if you needed to know or if you were a real friend- you'd know. We aren't going to start pretending our relationship is what it isn't now so if you are just looking to be nosy- but out.

Again, I'm serious, and please show some respect in your replies and keep it business please. I'm looking to get this done. I have a couple possible pending sale offers which I don't expect to go through. I've had more jokers waste my time and pull my leg than you would ever believe if I told you. If something comes through well then this offer is off the table, but for anyone that wants a free established tanning salon with a 3500 customer data base please let me know so we can get it lined up for you. I'm going to wait through this weekend to see if any cash offers come through, but if not lets get you ready to take it over. I don't expect anything to happen there, my broker is managing someones political campaign so he doesn't really have much time to deal with trying to sell my place. Story of my life.

Thanks for reading. Please send me a message only if you are seriously interested and can handle taking over the lease(s) For all you friends that have been paying customers, my sincere thanks. Your memberships WILL be honored if you have anything remaining on your package. To all my "friends" and family who were freeloaders- **** you, and thanks a lot.

If you were looking at purchasing or building a franchise, you would be investing $250-450K and still be paying franchise fee's royalties, etc and starting out with a database of 0 customers. This is independently owned and operated so none of that here.

Please take any serious inquires to PM. Salon is in Alpharetta GA. I ask for respect please (I know- the irony) not advice. I've been kicked enough while I'm down and have been so stressed I've been losing hair over this. This is my decision and for my own health I need to move on. The salon has a ton of potnential, and hey, I'll even show you how you can make a living painting naked women.

Good luck dude. Pick up some new VP's or super wides that Roland is rolling out with and get to it! Just a slump in life, good luck.

Just remenber, you cannot keep a true winner down. You can deplete my bank accounts, destroy my assets, even implicate me in crimes. But I made it before on my own blood sweat and tears, I can and will make it again.

And so will you. (in the meantime, drinks on me!: :icon_pidu: )

Always the case. I have a friend who is in the graphics business who loves it & does quite well, so best of luck with it!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I just sent this to my wifes nephew. He owns a salon or two in the Chattanooga, Tn area which about 1 1/2 hrs north of you. I think he goes to Atlanta a lot so this just might be the break he needs to expand.

Thanks. Responded to the PM's sent. Just talked to a guy who came in and supposed to have a couple people coming by this evening and tomorrow. That being said of the 6 that "were coming by" yesterday, none of them made it. lol. An ad like this brings people out of the woodwork. I'm hoping maybe I get some luck out my "trade tanning salon for cool car or motorcycle" ad on craigslist. Have a guy with a nice restored (except for the modern fuel injection engine) 69 Vette. Sounds interesting and looks good, but I don't think he's actually going to be able to come through.

Eh, oh well. Someone is going to get a cool opportunity and a much better deal than I ever did. I hope they do well with it and make it work. Perhaps something good will come to me some day if I keep busting my ass. (well and to get family to quit taking it)

any word yet?

haha, I've had all kinds of words. For the time being I'll just give you one of my favorite sayings: After all is said and done- usually more is said. I've talked to more people than I can keep track of, showed the place to a few people, had a greater number of people say there were coming by to not show up. And have had a couple offers from guys that said they'll get back with me Mon or Tues. One I'm willing to accept so we'll see if the guy comes through. I have a good amount of phone messages and e-mails to get to, so we'll see what they say, etc. But for right now I have a good amount of graphics jobs I need to work on tonight (spent a lot longer in the mountains on the bike than I planned on- my buddies bike broke down and he fell over twice! lol. And we also say medics tending to someone tangled up in a guard rail! I'm not the only one having a rough time!!)

I'm pretty positive something will happen in the next couple days, but we'll see. It blows me away with all the clowns that are like I really need to run the numbers on the place, blah blah blah, when to get the same thing in buying a franchise and starting with 0 customers they would be putting up several hundred grand. (and paying fee's royaties, etc on top of it) It's like what are you going to do, offer me less? Should I be paying them to take it??? lol

I used to own a tanning salon. I know your pain when it comes to selling. I had endless tire kickers, time wasters and dreamers. I mostly tried classified ads, and salonsforsale.com with no luck. I had my best luck talking to current customers and eventually sold to one. I know you don't really want your customers and employees knowing about the sale, but I know from experience that at your stage, you don't really give a shit anymore.

Try spreading the word to your customers that seem like they might be qualified. They will gossip and spread the word around the neighborhood for you. I only talked to about 4 customers about it. I must of had about 10 that I did not tell come in and ask me about it.

good luck.

If all else fails, auction all the eq, gut the premises back to nothing and advertise, "space for rent" .

Thanks for the support guys. Good news today.

SOLD!

Kept an airbrush unit. So if any hotties need to be painted, you can fly me out for private parties, like the runway show I did in the Bahama's the beginning of the year.

Also I'm going to focus a little more on my vinyl graphics business now, so if anyone needs any signs, banners, magnetics, statics, graphics, etc please do drop me a line. I do not have a website (yet) but have been doing it 7 years and can provide many many examples of my work. I do a ton for the Lotus crowd.

WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!
