I was going to PM you on Lpower before I got banned; I'm thinking about going to Sunshine drag strip tomorrow night, no not for the spyder, but for the G Wagen. :) Wanted to see if you'd been to Sunshine before or if you had any tips for me in general about how strips operate, I don't want to show up and break any unwritten rules about how all that stuff works or just not have a clue what I'm doing. Or is it as easy as take a number and get in line and when it's your turn it's your turn?

I never been to Sunshine, it is a 1/8th strip no? Its pretty simple, you pays your money, sign a release, then hang with gearheads, ricers, middle aged accountants with bimmers, and when its your turn you go....that would be when the second amber light goes off, don't wait for the green, part of the fun is nailing a good reaction time.

Holy shit, 12.25 in a diesel pick-up truck?!?! The g-wagen is making about 620 HP but it weighs 5800 pounds so I'm hoping to get maybe a 12.8 if I can get a good launch.

I really love it. Even with the stock configuration at 469 HP, it hauls ass for such a heavy vehicle and sounds good. The seats are a bit hard, it's actually a rougher ride than the Gallardo, so it would probably get annoying if you had to drive for a few hours, but around town I don't mind it at all and the nice thing about them is outside of LA or NYC you just rarely ever see them. People never expect the speed of a big brick like the G-wagen. Now personally taking corners fast in the thing gets me a little nervous, but it's actually more stable than you'd think, take a look at this video with some guys actually doing swerving and putting it on a banked oval race course. :lol2:
