Just curious, do cops let you out of tickets if you have one of those police charity license plates such as Police Athletic League or Police Benevolent Association? Or how about the little sticker you get if you donate to whatever charity that is that they'll call around about once a year? I see people always put those stickers on the back left corner of their rear window or even on their license plate and I can't imagine they do that just because they're so happy to have given to the charity. :)

I think I have gotten out of tickets. I have a police star on my top left back window. I got pulled over for my black-outs. FHP told me that they were illegal, and I needed to remove them. She then drove off.
I will have cops pace me, then all of a sudden after only a few seconds, drive off. I know that it takes longer than that to run my tag. Plus this has happened when I was speeding.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking they'd be lenient on cars with the stickers; I'd have to put it on the license plate since there's nowhere on the Lambo to stick it that they'd see it. :)

In California they have the CHP 1199 Fundation (http://www.chp11-99.org/index.htm). I got pulled over with a friend who was going 90 mph in a 50 mph zone. The cop asked for his license and registation. As my friend was pulling out his wallet, the cop saw my friend had a badge from 1199. He asked my friend what that was for and he explained that he donated to the foundation. The cop then asked him to step out of the car without any of his documents. Told my friend to slow it down and let us carry on.

That is awesome. Probably had him step out of the car in case there was a recorder in there watching him let the guy off with a warning. :)

In addition to the CHP 11-99 plate I also have a KMA 438 which is undercover SFPD and a KA...plate which is for the CHP here in CA. Both seem to work, no tickets in 2 years, and my brother got pulled over with the KMA 438 plate on the freeway in the east bay doing 95 in a 65 and got off with a warning. I need to develop anti radar / laser paint then it will be all good. ;)
