Since you guys are from Tampa how is this place? I just finished it up, but have never seen it or even eaten there.
I know that I just did a Giordano's in Brandon and Port Richey, and I'm working on a Distribution Center of their's, so they are obviously moving in aggressively.
Is it good food? What kind of theme is there? How's the outside look, and what about the crowd that goes there? Any thoughts? Thanks.

It is Chicago style Italian food. I looked a little deeper, and its located on North Dale Mabry, to the south is Gray Street, and to the north is West Carmen. Looks like they bought out a few old Hops Restaurant or something.

I'll have to check it out, I don't normally get around that area but I know where it is. I'm really wanting to go check out Splash, lots of people have good things to say about it.
I'm still on my unending search to find an authentic margarita in Tampa; I'm okay with having to tell the bartender how to make it if they're willing to but the downside to that is it usually comes out costing $9 because I get a few different things put in to do it right.
I've never heard of it either. Dave, i've never been to splash either even though i live practically right next door. In your book, what constitutes an "authentic margarita"?

Authentic means no mix, just:
Ice
(2) Fresh Lime Wedges
2 Ounces Of Patron Anejo
1/2 Ounce Patron silver
1.25 Ounces Of Rose’s Lime Juice
1/2 Ounce Of Bols Triple Sec
1/4 Ounce Of Bols Orange Curacao (you can substitute blue if you can't find orange, it will make the color weird but the taste is the same)
Squeeze In 1 Fresh Lime Wedge
Sometimes a splash of Grand Marnier doesn't hurt either.

I figured it out. It isn't there yet, that's why.
It's probably still a Hops or an abandoned building. They have about 30 or 40 stores around Chicago and Tampa will be the 5th one in Florida.
Since I had worked on it, I was kinda interested that's all, plus they have mail order deep dish Chicago style pizza and I was thinking about getting that for everyone at the office one of these Friday's.

Now you owe us pizza for making us all search for this non-existent restaurant! :lol2:

First I gotta buy drinks, and now I gotta buy pizza. What's next Busch Gardens Tickets? Not a chance. I'm gonna try and get down there as soon as I can.
