Your top ten exotics of all time and why

This isn't the order in which I would own these cars, but based on impact and rarity, this is my list of how I would rate super exotics. I guess my rating marks at which was the most desirable exotic in its time, and by the margin it was wanted. New exotics are harder to rate because there are so many amazing choices.

1) Ferrari F40- the definitive exotic from the definitve exotic maker

2) Lambroghini Miura- first mid engined supercar with timeless and beautiful styling

3) Duesenberg SSJ- IMO, the first true exotic. Handbuilt and ridicously priced, this car featured 400 horsepower and could top 150 when normal cars produced 70 horsepower and barely topped 70

4) Ferrari Enzo- the second most definitve exotic fromt he definitive exotic maker

5) Lambroghini Countach- probably hung above more beds then every other car.

6) McLaren F1- All out performance with a price tag pushing 1 million dollars

7) Lambroghini Diablo- The ultimate exotic in the early 90's and one of the coolest cars ever made.

8) Porsche 959- second only to the F40 in popularity in the '80s and a glimspe of things to come for the future of the historic marque

9) Ferrari 250 GTO- one of the rarest and best looking cars of all time, and number one on my list to own. Indirectly responsible for the car that kicked off the muscle car era

10) Bugatti Veryon- the newest made entry, time will tell how car up the list it will climb or is it a flash in the pan....

3- Lamborghini Diablo/GT/SE30th: The best looking car of all times IMO

6- Porsche 959: Definetely THE porsche supercar

7- Ferrari 50: Closest thing to an F1 car in terms of drivetrain.

8- Pagani Zonda: Just looks soooooo good.

9- Porsche CGT: Just because of the sound :bowdown:

10- Caparo T1: The sickest future supercar IMO

Def would go with the F-40 and 250GTO. McL F1 isn't even a question, that should make every list. If I was getting 10 one of them would have to be an XJ220 even though they aren't valued as highly as some of the others. And I'm probably the only one here, but the museum centerpiece, like the one parked in the living room lol would be a 300SL Gullwing. Not as exotic as the others but I love love love that car.
Then I'd sell off one of the undriveable maintenance nightmares like a Countach and stuff a turbo porsche engine in a Microbus, a 'Busa engine in a smart for 2, a Type R engine in an original mini cooper.....

Gotta disagree with that (the yellow part, love the F40), I think exotics should generally be somewhat outrageous and Ferrari's are not, in my opinion. They're very capable performers obviously, and their race cars/technology are dominating, but they have generally soft shapes, uninspired color choices 99% of the time and, the definitive test, teenagers don't typically have a poster of one on the wall unless their parents own one. :) Lamborghini's are outrageous, more so in the older models of course, but still much more eye catching; hard angles, unusual colors, etc.

1) My Gallardo, because it's mine. :)


Countach - truly outrageous exotic that got me interested as a teen
Ferrari FXX - 'cause it's a friggin' race car of course
Ferrari F40 - always liked this car, raw and unrefined
McLaren F1 - set the bar very high for performance and became a classic in the process
MC12 - another race car
Carrera GT - awesome sound & performance and it's a drivers car that penalizes stupid drivers but rewards good ones
Koenigsegg CCXR - 1018 HP on Ethanol baby! Eat it Veyron!
Pagani Zonda F Roadster with carbon fiber body - UNBELIEVABLE, probably my top dream car
Ford GT w/GTX1 modification - American muscle to the extreme

Oh, good point, I forget it's not street legal; make it an Enzo then I guess, but it has to be in yellow for me to like it. :)

5)Dauer lemans 962, LMP car for the streets

6)Jaguar Xj220, the most extreme Jag ever

7)Vector W8, first fighter built for the streets

8)Lotus Esprit, friendly simple

9)Acura NSX, the only Japanse supercar to die for.

10)Porsche Carrera GT, if you can get your hands on a 917, this is the next best thing!.

Heres mine in no particular order:

1. McLarean F1-Very Fast, can hold 2 of your favorite hotties, can store some luggage, awesome looks.

2. Bugatti Veyron-Umm do I need to say more?

3. Lamborghini Miura-Like said before first real Exotic/Supercar

4. Zonda F-Looks awesome and awesome performance

5. Lamborghini Diablo SVR, GT, or GTR(one of the rare ones)-Best exotic of the 90s.

6. 360 CS-I dont know why I like this one just do I guess.

7. F40-Best looking Ferrari ever, fast

8. BMW M1(the racing one)-Looks badass. Dont know a whole lot about the car other than that.

9. Koienessegg(sp) CCX-very fast, looks different, just plain cool if you ask me.

10. Porsche Carerra GT-Sounds awesome, handles well if you can drive, RWD, looks like a blast to drive.

This list changes on pretty much a weekly basis. Every time I experience a new car it takes the place of another car on the list.

1)Paganai Zonda F Roadster - pretty much defines exotic at this point

2)Lamborghini Diablo Roadster - my favorite Lamborghini

3)Ferrari Challenge Stradale - my favorite current Ferrari

4)1962 Ferrari 250GTO - best looking car ever made

5)Lamborghini Miura - second best looking car ever made

6)Jaguar XJ220 - British Supercar, looks fantastic, I've been in one.

7)Aston Martin V8 Vantage - the old one from the 1970s

8)Konigsegg CCX - evil, evil car :D

9)Porsche Carrera GT - exhaust note

I can't limit myself, so I'll just leave the last spot open. If forced to pick, Ford GT.

2-Koenigsegg CCXR - i love the design and the fact it runs on Ethanol...perfect car to have in Brazil
3-Pagani Zonda F - the design,the engine,exclusivety
4-Spyker c8 spyder - with the Audi engine and tranny and that design is the perfect daily exotic IMO
5-Lamborghini LP400-a true spaceship of the 70's
6-Alfa Romeo 8c- looks AMAZING (if anyone is looking for one, i have one to sell)
7-Maserati MC12 - much better than the Enzo IMO
8-Jaguar XJR15
9-Lamborghini Miura S
10-Lamborghini LM002
