Well May 5/6 just opened up and already filled up before I got jrfootin's email letting me know. :( I was able to grab a spot for the 6th but I'm on the wait list for the 5th. I'm still on the wait list for April too, I really need to get some track time to get my solo checkout but the damn events keep filling up a few hours after they open and I miss it. :banghead: I need something that can watch the registration page and page me when it changes so I can jump on it immediately.

That sucks. Is that normal for it to fill up THAT quickly?

It's definitely normal for it to fill up within a few days, but hours. Ugh. At least I got in one spot, hopefully someone will cancel so I can get in all the others I'm on wait for. Now keep in mind this is for novices, the reason there are a low number of spots and it fills quick is because every novice must have an instructor, so sometimes as more instructors sign on, more spots open.

Last time I went I didn't have a spot for Saturday but just went anyway and an instructor that wasn't scheduled to instruct that day was like hmm, Lamborghini, I'll work today. :)

Oooh, I've been watching the Chin roster for May, hoping someone will drop off novice or move up to solo and I just noticed that someone has registered for May with a 1990 Ferrari F40, I'd love to see that going around the track!

Nasir owns that F40 and I wouldn't count on seeing it. It was number 1 coming into the USA so I doubt he will put it on track. He has a very impressive collection. His CGT and Stradale are often driven but at half pace.

Damn, that would have been sweet to see an F40 ripping up some Sebring, I've never even heard an F40 running in real life, just seen them ten feet behind velvet ropes like most rare Ferraris. :lol2: :lol2: I saw the F40 driven on a Top Gear episode once, that thing is wicked, no creature comforts, just race car through and through.

I heard Simon's F40 rev a bit at the CF C&C, and I assure you I went deaf. Not from the pure sound that screamed from the exhaust pipes (though I wouldn't have been surprised), but my ears realized they would never hear anything like that again and shut down from the pure AWESOME.

I have driven an F40. One of the worst car I have ever driven, very unforgiving, uncomfortable & really not much faster than a new Murci.

Dave:

Looks like you got in on May 6th. I saw you on the roster on the website.

Sounds like fun. I'm jealous.

That's the only day I've got successfully registered. I have my hotel booked for both days in April and May and Greg's going to see if he can be my instructor for the April Sunday, if that works out, I'll go the Saturday anyway to see if I can talk an instructor into driving with me Saturday; sometimes you just have to buy them some beers Friday night and if they were just going to drive and not instruct Saturday, then you've set. :) Same for May Saturday.
