Just curious if anyone here owns both marques and who is fearcely Lambo loyalist?

I'd probably never personally spend the money on it unless I dramatically increase my disposable income but I wouldn't mind having a 430 CS, can't remember if it's out yet or not. Of course an Enzo would be cool too. :) For the time being Lamborghini will be my exotic and the others are for fun. I like to make fun of snobbish Ferrari owners but other than that I don't mind the marque or the down to earth owners, some really seem to have attitudes though.

I own both marques.

Which of your two cars do you prefer? Well depending on the models that could be a dumb question, like a Countach and an F430 would be two cars I'd own for entirely different reasons.

I like both cars but, as you have stated above, I own both marques for different reasons. If I am just cruising, I will take the F car. My F car has alot of low end torque which can be alot of fun but it can not keep up with the L car relative to speed.

I'd like to have the right Ferrari for me one day, probably an older one; right now I have the Lambo and then the other unexotic :) cars serve their purposes (new track car, SUV, and my ever faithful Chevy pickup for daily driving).

We have the same philosophy relative to cars. It's great to be passionate about a certain marque; however, I will never understand how a person can bash another car claiming overall superiority. I live in south OC and I have to tell you that most (not all) F-car owners in the area are seriously brainwashed about F car heritage and the perceived status that a F-car is the ultimate exotic. Of course, there are L car owners who are over zealous in their rants as well. To what end and what purpose will this serve? We should just appreciate the cars for what they are and enjoy the fact that there is a variety of exotic cars from which to choose.

In my garage, the bull is parked next to the pony. I think that is pretty cool.

I definetly favour lamborghini, but i do like Ferrari as well. As has been said, they each have their perks. I find, though, Lamborghinis do get more of a rise out of people than Ferraris though, and i really do perfer lamborghinis agressive styling to Ferraris' more reserved styling. Also, the performance factors cant be overlooked...

I thought seriously about the F430 before buying the Murci. What it finally came down to was that I couldn't envision paying over list price just so that the dealer can get rich. Turned me off too much.

That, plus the fact that the Lambo always was my dream car growing up (Countach). Something nice about getting your dream car (although Jeremy Clarkson said never to do that.)

I keep 5 cars at the house but 3 others at a local secured storage facility.

With the exception of my three daily drivers, all the cars are quietly resting under covers and hooked up to battery tenders.

92677, what kind of battery tender did you get? Just generic auto parts store and that's all you need? I'm going to need one for the Radical I bought this weekend and never had one before outside of some little junk one I had for a Waverunner that shorted out after a while.

Yes, the Noble was for a track car :)

Tell me what you'd like to know and I'll try my best to answer!

What I can tell you about the car briefly is that is handles really really well, the braking is also sharp. It will out accelerate any car I have to 130mph :)

Nobles are one of the best track cars you can buy for the money. Uses a turbocharged 3 liter Mondeo engine, will crack off 0-60 in 3.3 seconds (same as a Ferrari Enzo), and is one of the best handling cars in the world.

And they are around 100k or so I've heard.

I use a battery tender manufactured by Deltran. The model I use includes a pigtail which attaches directly to the battery. I just plug the battery tender into the pigtail (male/female) connection. It's a clean set-up and avoids the use of the traditional battery clips.

Nobles as far as i know, cannot be purchased in the U.S. because they dont meet certain requirements or something. However, because of that, noble has worked a loophole, that being, you buy the rolling chassis in a almost complete form, you buy the motor seperately and have it installed and register the car as a kit. I believe thats pretty much how it goes for U.S. customers, but you might want to read up on it.

Because of all this crap, they're quite rare in the U.S.

That is correct. To my understanding the States only allow so many "kit-cars" to be registered per year. Once again those also limit the numbers of cars.

The sole dealer in the US for Noble is www.1gracing.com - also run by ex-South Africans ;)

Hi Chris,

I am in Sacramento. I fly down to OC about once a month. I try and stay over Friday night and head out to C&C in Irvine. We have a Euro Sunday once a month up here. I took the Ferrari out today and just got done cleaning her up and now under covers in the garage. In the morning, I'll take the Lambo out and get her ready for next weekends event. Well, maybe after a nice drive first.

You are lucky to have car events every weekend.

I think I've seen less than 15 Ferrari's and Lamborghini's total in Tampa Bay; which stinks for setting up drives but does make it kind of nice when you do want to fully exploit the exotic nature of the car.

I just picked up my car from Claudio's shop in OC about two weeks ago. It would have been fun to do a drive with you guys. I may bring the car down sometime in April or May? I, will most likely fly down and ask Claudio to bring out the Cizeta. I'll keep you posted. Where does most of your guys live? OC or in the Valley? I will introduce you to Claudio. The June 9th event is definitely on the calendar. I have already reserved the featured marque corral with Premier Automotive Group (PAG). As the date draws closer, I will be making a post on all the related Lamborghini chat boards and sending out PM"s to various owners.

There will be another driving event during the latter part of April. We are going to limit particpation to no more than 20 cars. Anything more and it is too difficult managing all the cars on the highways. It would be great if you can join us for this event as well. It's not the most exotic thing in the world but I think I wouldn't mind having a Ford GT next to my bull, just the rude and rough aspects of that car, break the rear end loose with a mash on the gas, etc.; lots of fun. I really like that F430 and the F1 transmission but just don't see myself having the money for it any time soon.

If you are looking for a car that will break the rear end quickly with a mash on the gas, the Ford GT is it. I have one and a Diablo Millennium.

The Diablo is harder to drive, slower, heavier, torque isn't there until you rev high, it has no warranty, its older, etc.

but to me, the Diablo is the best car ever. 100x better than the Ford GT. Just no comparison when I am driving it vs. the GT.

If you are looking for a race car, the Ford GT is the car. A cheap pulley change can bring it up to around 600HP on 91 octane. You can get 700 running higher boost, supercharger change and 100 octane. And more than that with the twin turbo. But stock it is still fast as hell. I don't need a car as fast as it is though.

Hi Ray,

I will be arriving Thursday morning to unload my car from Cats Exotics Express. I ordered an early hang tag so I will park my car in the Lamborghini Orange County stable on Thursday afternoon. I hope that you can join our group on Saturday morning. The drive from Monterey to Big Sur on Route 1 is awesome. Very scenic along the coast and then there are some great stretches of open highway where you can get on the cars a bit. You will hit mid to deep triple digits no problem.

If you go with us on Saturday, bring your friends with the F cars. Last year, LV Eric was following me in his Enzo. Not everyday that you see an Enzo in your rear view mirror.

Chris, you guys are making me green with envy with your drives! I wish I lived in CA right now :banghead:

Hey Mike,

I saw pictures on your latest post with the F430 and LP640. I can't believe that you have those long stretches of empty road. I rarely see open roads like that in SoCal. I am envious of you my friend!

This morning I have a group of 15 owners who are getting together for a short run from Orange County to Beverly Hills. It is a couples event and we will caravan to the Peninsula Hotel for Sunday Brunch. We will be taking video and I will try and post a link to the video and pics soon.

Weather is great today so conditions should be perfect.:headbang:

I'd love to see some footage of that Chris, we never get any drives around here, just not enough exotics I guess. :(
