Looks like emissions requirements are going to rob the G-wagen of its monster torque, MB is switching the next gen G-Wagen, probably 2008, to the 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 from the 5.5l super charged. I'm sure someone will build a bolt on for the 6.2 anyway though since that engine will start showing up in other Benz models too; now that should make for a monster G-Wagen, might make me go for some nitrous. :)
