I recently wanted to put my Gallardo nav system in debug mode because it gives you a real-time read out of speed and direction so you can double check what your speedometer is telling you, or rather how far off it is, since it will be off. doltmo (http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showuser=6188) on LPower told me how to do this:
Putting your Nav unit in Engineering (debug) mode:
(1). Put the radio in NAV mode by pressing the "NAV" button at the bottom of the unit.
(2). Press AND HOLD the upper left button for about 10-15 seconds.
(3). Immediately press AND HOLD the upper right button until the unit enters engineering mode (about 10 seconds). If this doesn't work you didn't press the buttons long enough. Repeat steps 1-3. Note that you only press one button at a time.
The screen will change to this:
Scroll down and select NAV to get to this menu:
Select GPS SIGNAL INFO:
Then select the "MORE" option at the lower right:
To exit engineering mode, back your way out with the RETURN option until the normal radio screens return.
If you have an 06 (or 07?) that did not come with navigation, you can still use engineering mode to get GPS ground speed. All you need to do is add a GPS antenna. Check out the navplus.us web site (or PM me) for more information.
