With an MSRP of $120K, will the Claudio Castiglioni designed MV Agusta F4CC raise the bar for exotic superbikes or just be an overpriced flop?
At $100k over a Ducati 1098S it does not seem worth it on the surface but maybe this is the push Ducati needs to start building their own $100k + bikes to compete in this elite market.

Wow, $120k?!?! Where can I read about this bike? And what's in it that makes it so expensive? Whole frame made from magnesium or something?

That bike is going to be a flop you can buy the Ducati Desmosedici RR for 60-65k based off the GP bike with more than 200hp.

Brembo racing brakes, carbon fiber body work, magnesium swingarm, 200HP and 2 more cylinders than the Ducati!
I think it would give the Desmosedici RR a run for its money, unless you just buy two Ducs...hmm :)

The Ducati will absolutly smoke the MV Augusta, it is like comparing a F1 car to Lambrogini.
The MV weighs in at about 430 lbs wet, the Ducati will come in at around 330. Both engines are 4 cylinders, the Ducati using a V config, the Augusta with the more traditional inline 4. The Ducati will be detuned and should produce around 205 horsepower at the rear wheel where as the Augusta will produce around 175 at the wheel.
The Ducati will have the same racing spec suspension and brakes as its million dollar cousin.
