those that know me know about some of my projects. on LP i left off with a custom build list for the cf rear diffuser, which is almost done. i have been recieving pms on it from lp but cant log in as i am banned so if you could put the word out that i will continue the list here that would be great. i am also building a larger glass rear bonnet in cf that will have glass, lexan and mesh. it should be about 1/3 the weight. this will be interchangable during summer to winter to prevent heat soak. it will have a larger window to view the engine. this is under construction as well and i should have the first sample in 2 weeks. it will be offered in the orginal size and shape as a normal glass bonnet but in cf or the newer larger size window. oh best part is it wont cost a ton of money. i am not doing this as a business, i just wanted to make one to save weight so i figure everyone one else could get one made as well. the more the better.

Monarchy, do you have specs on the original weight of the bonnet vs the new one? I've always wondered how much these things weigh. When I was lifting my whole rear engine cover up (it covers the entire back on the spyder) even with the struts you can tell the thing carries significant weight even though it's made of CF; I had to brace it up to take off the driver's side strut to fix something and it was definitely not light.

it's about 65lbs. i am deleting the struts and all the hydraulics for the wing on my bonnet. it doesn't have to be deleted on others but its dead weight as far as i'm concerned.
