View Full Version : Lamborghini of Toronto

Today I went by Lamborghini Toronto which seems to be the only Lambo dealer around me to look at a few of their Gallardos. Didn't see anything I liked and the selection was hurting.
My question is if I go out of my province or perhaps even into the USA to buy a Lambo do I need to take it back to the dealership I bought it from if something goes wrong or when its time for service or can I just go to my local dealership? Also would there be some kind of extra tax if I bought it in the states vs. my here in Canada?
Anyone have any experience with Lambo of Toronto by chance?

You can get them serviced anywhere and as far as I know the warranty would be unaffected but perhaps SuperVixen can double check on that.
As far as where to buy it, I haven't checked exchange rates lately but it may be favorable to buy in the US and bring it back; depends on the import tax you'd have to pay. My G doesn't have daytime running lights so not sure if you'd have to get that hooked up somehow.

Yea I was thinking about buying in USD from somewhere in the states maybe even from one of the sponsors here if they had what I was looking for :)
The CAN -> USD rate is good for us Canadians at the moment so hopefully it will stay the same for when I'm actually in buying position.
The import tax is what I have to look into I guess :)

You are not going to be able to import a late model Lamborghini in Canada. If you check the import rules for Lamborghini's it is not on the import list www.riv.ca. Any Lamborghini must be approved by Lamborghini North America and they are not going to authorize any Gallardo's or Murc's.
As for Canadian Dealers, you have 3 to choose. 1) Lamborghini Toronto 2) Lamborghini Quebec 3) Lamborghin Vancouver
John Scotti in Montreal/Quebec is really good and they usually have a good inventory. As far as importing, you wont be able to unless its over 15 years old, and even then its a pain in the ass to import...

I was at the TO dealer and my wife and I were not impressed at all, we were in the showroom for about 1hr and no one even said hi, BTW we were the only customers there and had a Diablo in the parking lot. Anyways not impressed at all.
If you are in Vancouver see the dealer there and ask for Kai, he is great...not your typical sales guy. He sold me mine and has been great start to finish!!!

The Pheonix dealer is absolutely horrible, there are soo many posts on how bad they are you can't count them.
My family went it to get me a shirt and were treated like crap, were told they needed an appointment to look in the showroom, were told that they couldn't drink in the showroom after taking a glass of water from the dealers water cooler and when asked if they could take a picture of the cars, were told NO.
Other people have commented that they were told to get off their cell phone and other out ragious comments and actions.
Pretty surprising for a place that needs customers to survive...

I have to say, I'm disappointed.
To think, just once I want a forum member to be a hot chick with huge boobs that doesn't believe in clothing.
Just once.

Well sorry, but at least I explained the name before you started hitting on me which could have saved us both some embarasment :)
Just drive around long enough in a Lambo and "hot chick with huge boobs that doesn't believe in clothing" seem to come out of the wood work LMAO

Well I'd love to drive around in a Lambo, but by the time I can afford one I'll probably be settled down. And in need of Viagra.
However, I could utilize my youth more frequently if there was a damn owner I knew in Orlando.....

Nice to see another Westerner on here.
What part of AB are you in if you don't mind me asking, because I have yet to see a white spyder running around Calgary.

Nope not in Calgary... in the Capital ;)
We now have a White Spyder and White Gallardo Coupe, and a Green SE as far as I know that is all for the G's here.

Nice. atleast it's AWD so you can drive it year round up there even with the snow. :P
Right now I split my time between Calgary and Regina, trying to juggle work/family/real estate, it sucks.

yea thats a good question.. do you drive it in the snow?
I'm not to worried about the snow but its the salt that makes me mad lol

I know Roy drives his in the snow in Washington, but yeah, if they salt the roads you need to wash down the underside regularly.
Western Canada(not sure about northern alberta) doesn't tend to use salt. they use gravel:banghead: :banghead:
Mikey

Yea they use salt here
I think I'd drive it if the roads were clear otherwise I'll take the SUV.. which im shopping for atm :)
Any suggestions? So far I have been looking at the BMW X3, X5, and the Jeep grand Cherokee STR. Don't want to spend too much tough.

In that case I'd probably go with the Jeep, the Bimmer looks too soccer mom-ish. You can get the Jeep with that bad ass engine too although I hear the mileage is atrocious so you'll have to think about that one. Fortunately the G55 is not my daily driver because after the mods I get about 10 mpg, although even stock it only got 12 mpg. :lol2:

Nope won't be driving the Spyder in the snow here, it would get hung-up. We get quite a bit of snow here and there is no way the spoiler would make it without being a snow plow.
We use mostly gravel with some salt mixed in, not got to cars at all.
It would be a real shame to drive a car like this here with our conditions in the winter, I couldn't put it through that much punishment :(
Mine will be safely tucked in all winter, maybe I'll setup a big screen in the garage and watch movies in it the odd time when I miss it LOL!!

That's a good one !
I guess if you had the dough you could also setup a dyno and at least be able to go through the gears as well and drive the hell out of it. Neighbors might wonder what the hell is going on but it would be pretty funny.
Might be cheaper to move though LOL

Hello toplesswhitegal and mikey ...
I too am a Canadian from Alberta's Capital and believe I have seen you (toplesswhitegal) cruisin around town (absolutely stunning). I currently have a BMW 645 but just picked up a Cayenne Turbo so am now going to dump the 6 and move into the Italian market ... Gallardo it will be ... I seriously was considering importing one in from our southern neighbors but read your post on how it will not be possible, I appreciate the heads up. So Vancouver it is huh?

Thanks for the Welcome Mr. Moderator ... Yea, the Cayenne Turbo is a stupid fast SUV. Previous winter beater was a 4.4 X5, what a slug in comparison, and just a beast all around to drive ... Looking forward to riding an Italian Lady ;) ...

Welcome Galguy!
Yes, if you are in the capital you probaby have seen the car, I try to drive it as much as I can for as long as we have days without the white stuff on teh ground :)
Yes, Vancouver or ZR Auto will probably be your best way to get a G, unless someone has one privately for sale.
